Below is a brief introduction to our youth coordinators, in their own words. You can follow them on Instagram @waterloomasjidyouth.
Ismael Yusuf
"I have devoted my efforts to guiding the young Muslim community towards a deeper appreciation of their faith and fostering a sense of camaraderie and social responsibility. Through a variety of engaging activities, I strive to instill not only a love for Islam but also essential life skills and virtues. Beyond simply promoting physical well-being, my focus lies in cultivating teamwork, communication, and social interaction among our youth. My dedication extends beyond the activities themselves; I offer mentorship and steadfast support to both the eager participants and their families, creating a nurturing environment that strengthens and enriches our community as a whole."

Aaleyah Patel
"Salam, my name is Aaleyah! I am currently in my first year at the University of Waterloo, studying Legal Studies and Business. As a dedicated student and a passionate member of our community, I am excited to announce that I have embraced the role of being a youth program coordinator at Waterloo Masjid. With a background in both academia and community engagement, I look forward to creating an environment to support and empower the next generation of leaders within our Masjid and beyond InshaAllah."
