Starting Friday, October 4 2024, Waterloo Masjid is launching an exciting new series of youth Halaqahs. These weekly sessions will cover essential Islamic topics, with a deep dive into Imam Al-Nawawi’s 40 Hadith Collection. Led by Sh. Ammar Jakda, this program is designed to create a welcoming space for youth to learn, connect, and grow. Whether you’re looking to expand your Islamic knowledge or find a meaningful way to spend your Friday evenings, this is a great opportunity to strengthen your connection to your faith and community.
Shaykh Ammar Jakda was born and raised in Cambridge, Ontario. After completing high school, he memorized the Qur’an in Gujarat, India, and pursued Islamic studies at Jamiatul Ilm Wal Huda in the UK. He later graduated as an 'alim from Nadwatul Ulama in Lucknow, India, and specialized in theology and logic in Istanbul, Türkiye. He has taught Hadith studies and Hanafi fiqh at Al Khalil Academy in Toronto and currently teaches at Wijhah Initiative in Cambridge.
